Marigolds are one of my favorite garden plants.. they are hardy, repel mosquitos(!), and the flowers and foliage stay bright for so long. They may not be the prettiest of flowers, but they sure are a persistently happy flower.
This was the display for Chinese New year in the same hotel that had the lion dance.
Marigolds grow reasonably well in the tropics too ...
Is that their pick-your-own? Looks rather posh as well!

I am not sure that they would approve of 'pick your own' but you never know ...
It is a very nice place to stay, would definitley reccomend it.
